about
community
works

Community Works provides hands-on work experience for individuals in Indian River County, creating opportunities to build skills, confidence, and responsibility while contributing to the community.

Through daily service projects, members help clean and maintain public spaces across the county. For many, these are the same places they once relied on during difficult seasons. This shift creates a powerful sense of ownership, pride, and connection.

What began as a call to restore Pocahontas Park in Vero Beach has grown into an ongoing partnership with local organizations, including the City of Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Police Department. Together, these efforts demonstrate how a community can come together to create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming spaces for everyone.

At its core, Community Works is about consistency and teamwork. Members show up each day ready to contribute, support one another, and take part in work that builds both personal growth and community impact.
