Dignity Voices Podcast… A Look Behind The Scenes of The Source & A Whole Lot More

The Source, Indian River County’s premier nonprofit organization that successfully addresses the complex needs of the poor and homeless in our community, is continuing our expansion of new programs and services for the community we serve.

Expanding Through Innovation

As lifestyle trends keep changing, The Source is not far behind. They are now digging their heels into today’s broadcast technology with the construction and outfitting of a new state-of-the-art Podcast studio located at their Dignity Ranch. Their all-new audio and video “Dignity Voices Podcasts” are currently being aired online by visiting The Source’s website: https://www.iamthesource.org/dignity-voices-podcast

What is a Podcast?

What is a Podcast? Simply put, a podcast is a series of topics or themes in an audio and sometimes video program as well that you can connect to on your smartphone, computer, or any other suitable device and listen to whenever you like.

How to Listen

With The Source’s Dignity Voices Podcast, you can access both audio and video episodes through the following link:

New episodes will continue to explore the programs, partnerships, and people that make up The Source and the broader community.

More Than Just a Podcast

Dignity Voices Podcasts may be something new at The Source, but it’s our own way of letting our audience know more about what is happening with our organization, info about our incredible slate of programs offered to our members, and guest speakers who will share their world with you remotely or in person at the on-site studio.

And best of all, it’s another tool for members to learn a trade in helping to produce the technical end of the show or even taking a stab at being a host interviewer on any particular subject!

Tune In

Several “Dignity Voices Podcasts” are now available and include an up-close chat with Mayor John Cotugno about the partnership between The City of Vero Beach and The Source.

An exciting visit from Jeffrey Weissman from the iconic film “Back to the Future,” who is both an interesting entertainer and a strong supporter of nonprofits across the nation, sits in-studio for a session.

You can learn all about the “Dignity Smiles” program with Dr. Tom Balshi and Dr. Adam Jones of Premier Dental in Vero Beach, as they explore how the program works in bringing dignity to qualified Source members who have worked hard to transform their lives through dental restoration. Kyle, one of the members, shares his story about the dental restoration he received through “Dignity Smiles.”

The Source’s Dignity Wellness Program, led by Licensed Mental Health Counselor Charlene Morris, speaks out about the organization’s mental health program, which previously received a grant from Impact 100.

Upcoming podcasts include Matt Tanner, Executive Director from United Against Poverty Indian River; members of Communities Under The Bridge in San Antonio taped a podcast while visiting from their homeless center in May; and more local leaders and people behind the scenes of the Source are planned for the future.

The podcasts are sponsored in part by Suzanne Chesser. Local individuals and businesses are becoming sponsors to help support the program and will be recognized as such within a podcast segment. Sponsorships are available by contacting Jonathan Orozco GPC, Development Director of The Source, via email at jonathan.orozco@iamthesource.org or by calling 772-564-0202.

So hit the link supplied above and get yourself started with the first few interviews, knowing there will be more on the way. Also, listen to who the sponsors are and thank them for their support!
