HAPPY NEW YEAR MESSAGE

FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As we reflect on the birth of our savior this holiday season, as well as our goals for 2024, I wanted to share a few words of gratitude to our staff, volunteers, board members, and supporters who are truly the hands and feet of Christ on a daily basis.

This past fiscal year we were able to launch a Dignity Bus in Rhode Island, a second bus in Illinois, and we are in the process of acquiring a 5th bus to be used right here in our community. We also added two new Dignity Programs: Dignity Wellness and Community Works.

Over the past year I have seen more individuals obtain jobs, move into housing, and earn a dignified income through our Sic Sac jobs program than in any previous year. I have also witnessed many more individuals who are able to smile again through our Dignity Smiles program thanks to the generous donations of time and talent from local dentists. Finally and most importantly, I have known countless people to be baptized, who are now dedicating their lives to serving Jesus Christ.

None of this could have been possible if we did not have the support of our amazing community and people like you. So on behalf of all of those that we serve I would like to say “thank you” for all your support.

OUR VISION FOR 2024

The challenge with being so successful is that we have outgrown our facility on Commerce Avenue. Therefore, we need your help in envisioning a new facility with plenty of land to house our growing Dignity Programs, Food Trucks and Dignity Buses. If you’d like to learn more about helping to bring this vision to fruition, email our Director of Development Jonathan Orozco at: jonathan.orozco@iamthesource.org or call him at 772-564-0202 ext 219. Any gift you can give us at this time will go a long way toward helping us.
