National Day of Prayer Recognized by The Source at Annual Prayer Breakfast
The National Day of Prayer calls on all people of different faiths in the United States to pray for the nation and its leaders. It is held on the first Thursday of May each year.
The Source recognized this day by holding a Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 2, at King’s Baptist Church, 3235 8th Avenue in Vero Beach who acted as a co-sponsor of the event allowing for the community to come together and pray, seeking God’s guidance, wisdom and grace for our community leaders and nation.
The program was introduced by Anthony Zorbaugh, Executive Director of The Source, followed by remarks and blessings from area Pastors who included: Pastor Frank of Kings Baptist, Calvery Chapel Pastor Peter, Pastor Melvin of Family Affairs Worship Center, Earl, a Jail Minister and Source Volunteer, and Pastor Wayne of Walton Road Baptist Church and Vice-President of The Source’s Board of Directors. Live music and song was provided by King’s Baptist Church, and a complimentary expanded continental breakfast was sponsored by Natalie’s Orchid Island Orange Juice, Einstein Bagels, Dunkin Donuts and Chick-fil-A.
