     Robert Shoup, affectionately known as Shoupy, has invested many years in the lives of the homeless, poor, and needy in Indian River County.

 

17 year old Stevie donates his van to Source client…. He’s finally given an opportunity to rise above his circumstances.

 

Almarie, a working mother makes a career move thanks to The Source. “I came for a box of food and I left with a box of hope,” says Almarie.

 

Chris felt like no one cared. After he was released from prison, he continued his self destruction with drugs and alcohol. He knew it was just a matter of time before he would go back. Read what happens with Chris after arriving at The Source.

 

At one time John lived an aimless existence in which he consumed community resources. Now he leads a purposeful life in which he is a contributing member of the community. Follow his story and his dramatic testimony.

 

 Tali came through our doors empty handed, unemployed and homeless. See how he landed a great job and got off the streets.

 

Suffering from what seemed to be an endless battle with drugs and alcohol, Donna spent time in prisons and programs. Read more to see how she found the key to lasting life recovery.

 

Holly counted the cost of having a severely disabled child and weighed it against the value of life. Holly chose life, prepared for whatever that might bring.

  

Carol, a single mother of four, went from losing it all to gaining a future and a hope. With the help of Source counselors, she completed her education, landed a great job, and is pursuing her dream of becoming an LPN.

 

Michelle was waiting for her boyfriend of seven years to marry her. Instead he went to jail. The weeks that followed had her spiraling out of control. But her story is one of ultimate triumph in the face of desperation. She credits The Source~Jesus.

 

Eugene is developmentally disabled and lives on a fixed income. His recent housing crisis found him calling out to God to keep him off the streets. Help was found, and Eugene continues to pray for more help for the hundreds of others in need of affordable housing.

 

 Cheryl and her children know what it's like to experience the "Chain Reaction" that leads to homelessness. They went from living in a large four bedroom apartment to the streets in about nine months. Medical and financial issues have made the road back to *home* an uphill struggle.

 

Susan and Bob, disabled Vero Beach residents, experienced tradgedy when the 2004 hurricanes destroyed their mobile home. Worn and wearied from months of moving place to place, they had almost given up. Susan shares a new vision of their life together since coming to The Source.

 

Terry walked out of jail believing that he had no hope. He shares his experience of coming to The Source and coming out of darkness.
