(Vero Beach, FL) – The Source is proud to be the recipient of $96,500 in grant awards this year. Sonya Morrison, Executive Director at The Source announces and extends a special thank you on behalf of the Board of Directors to the following: to the John’s Island Community Service League for funding $30,000 in operating support for direct client services; to The John’s Island Foundation who provided $39,000 in grant support for urgent building repairs; to the Janke Charitable Foundation who supplied $9,000 in operating support and $1,000 towards the “Lauren Weaver Christmas Shoe Box Project;” to the John and Norma Darling Foundation for their contribution of $10,000 in operating support; and finally to the Christ Church for their donation of $7,500 for expenses relating to our cold weather shelter program.
