A Way Out of Pain and Fear and Anger

Terry has a lot to say now that he has his life back. August 2005

Six months ago the Indian River County Jail released a tired, worn out man.  He had no money in his pockets, no prospects and no hope.  He carried with him a small package of release papers and the address of a place called The Source.  He spent a night of wandering—looking for food and any place at all to lay his head.  He felt as if the depths of hell had reached up and snatched his soul away for good.

He finally found this place called The Source and was greeted by a group of loving people.  They took him under their care and provided him with food, clothing and a way to shelter himself for the night.  They provided for his physical needs, then looked to revive his spirit and faith in God. They showed him a way out of pain and fear and anger.  They showed him a way to escape the misery of alcohol and drugs.  They convinced him that angels do exist and walk the earth in the form of ordinary people.

He owes a huge debt of gratitude to The Source and its people.  They saved his life and soul and taught him how to pray and love and trust in God.  Who is this person?  This person is me and I thank you deeply.
