Robert W. Shoup, affectionately known as Shoupy, has invested many years in the lives of the homeless, poor, and needy in Indian River County. From conducting AA meetings and “sponsoring” clients; to private prayer counseling; overseeing the family food pantry; supervising the need and distribution of bikes, flashlights, and tents; to dressing up as Santa Clause during our Christmas celebrations. His work was tireless and unceasing.
Shoupy is no longer with us, having gone home with the Lord on October 4, 2011. Our hearts are heavy at the passing of this beloved spiritual giant, team member, friend, and father figure to so many in need. We pray comfort over his family during this time of sorrow.
“My heart remains with you no matter where I am. Though the voice may be fading, the song of The Source Fellowship remains on my lips." ~Shoupy
