Donna suffered from what seemed to be an endless battle against drugs and alcohol. She spent time in prisons and programs, but could not find the key to fighting her battle with addiction. She began attending Mr. Shoup's Saturday morning "12 Steps for Christians". Donna found that the key to a changed life is a personal relationship with Jesus. She gave her life to the Lord during a weekday Bible study here at The Source. Donna made her public display of being "Placed Into (baptized) Christ" this past Easter at the Sunrise Service at Jaycee Park.
In Romans Chapter 6 Paul talks about being baptized into Christ Jesus. For us as Christians, it is more than a ceremony or a rite of passage... It's a statement! We are placed into Christ and therefore we are new creatures (II Corinthians 5:17). Donna believes the Gospel that says she has been placed "Into Christ". She has found the key, Jesus, and is embarking on true and lasting life change.
