Compassion Loves Unconditionally

“Love… What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.” ~ C. M.

While on vacation in North Carolina, Chris was arrested and sentenced to five years in prison. As a result, he lost his family, job, and even his parental rights. Along came fear, pain, and distrust. Chris felt like no one cared. After he was released, Chris continued his self destruction with drugs and alcohol. He knew it was just a matter of time before he would go back to the detention center. “I needed to change my life or I was going back to jail,” ~ Chris realized.

Fortunately, Chris made a good choice. He came to The Source. Here he found new friends - someone to talk to; “A sense of hope.” ~ Chris says.

The love we offer to Chris goes beyond the concept of compassion. Our love for him is unconditional. “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but a matter of power.” ~ 1st Corinthians 4:20

Chris is currently working as a kitchen assistant at The Source. This August, he plans to move back up North to take a position as an executive chef at a private catering firm. He is very grateful for The Source and the new family he has found.

When you donate to The Source you are directly participating in God’s work. We are so thankful that you have become our partner and faithfully continue to support our mission. May God abundantly bless you!
